Why You're Not Making Money With Affiliate Marketing

Most people who don't make money with affiliate marketing are missing one of three things: a clear path, steady traffic, or follow-up. It's rarely about talent, and it's almost never because affiliate marketing "doesn't work."

I know this one personally. For about ten years I bought courses, joined "can't-miss" opportunities and jumped through hoops to qualify. The result was tiny commissions, or none at all. At some point I started believing it just wasn't for people like me.

I was wrong. I was just missing pieces. Here's what they were, and how I fixed them.

Most programs hand you a login, a pile of videos and a link. Then they leave. It's like getting a box of puzzle pieces with no picture on the lid.

So you jump from one shiny object to the next. A new course. A new traffic trick. A new offer. Each one starts exciting and slowly fades.

The fix: pick one path and follow it for a set time. Two weeks, one simple mission at a time. Finish one thing, then the next. That's how momentum builds.

You can have the best offer in the world, but if nobody sees it, nothing happens. A lot of beginners post their link once or twice, hear crickets, and decide it doesn't work.

This is the one I missed the longest. Most people don't buy the first time they see something. They buy after hearing from you several times.

For years I sent people straight to a sales page. If they weren't ready that second, they were gone forever.

The fix: send people to a simple page that asks for their name and email first, then follow up with helpful emails. Now you get more than one chance to help them.

No. If nobody showed you how the pieces fit together, of course it didn't work.

That doesn't mean it'll be easy from here. You still have to put in the work. But work with a clear path, live help and a way to follow up is a lot different from work in the dark.
